Southampton String Quartet are pleased to carry out public performances for concerts and organised events. Our Southampton Recital Quartet has a selection of string quartet repertoire from Haydn and Mozart quartets to Borodin and Dvorak. We are happy to discuss programmes of music and learn new repertoire on behalf of our clients. Where possible, for classical programmes, we request that six months advance notice concert dates are given so that we can prepare suitable repertoire to the professional standard that our clients have come to expect.
Southampton String Quartet can also provide concert programmes of a more light-hearted nature which may for example, include a selection of popular classical arrangements for string quartet or tunes from the Swing and Jazz era. Our past performances have included a five week evening concert series for the SAGA Holiday Group at New Place Hotel & Conference Centre in Shirrell Heath, Southampton, where our varied programme of popular classics and show tunes delighted the audience.
Concert fees for Southampton String Quartet are based on a programme of up to a maximum of 90 minutes music. When requesting new repertoire to be learnt, clients can also expect to contribute towards the costs of rehearsal time.
